Good news: MyByteNest does not store any of your personal data on our servers. There are no accounts to delete and no cloud-stored personal information. All your data lives only on your device.
What Data the App Stores Locally
The MyByteNest app stores the following data only on your device:
Favorite quotes and bookmarked book summaries / novels
Reading progress, streaks, and achievements
Daily challenge counters and reading history
Journal entries and reflections you've written
User-created collections and highlights
App preferences (theme, dark mode, font size, notification time)
Spaced-review schedule for favorited quotes
None of this data is ever transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.
How to Delete All Your Data
Option 1: Clear App Data (recommended)
This deletes all your in-app data while keeping the app installed:
Open your Android device's Settings
Tap Apps (or "Apps & notifications")
Find and tap MyByteNest
Tap Storage & cache
Tap Clear storage (or "Clear data")
Confirm to delete all app data
Option 2: Uninstall the App
This removes the app and all its data from your device:
Long-press the MyByteNest icon on your home screen or app drawer
Tap Uninstall (or drag to "Uninstall")
Confirm
After uninstall, all locally stored data (favorites, journal, streaks, etc.) is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
Advertising Identifier (AdMob)
The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. Your device's advertising identifier is collected and used by Google. To reset or opt out:
Open Settings on your Android device
Go to Google → Ads
Tap Delete advertising ID or enable Opt out of Ads Personalization
Account Deletion
MyByteNest does not require user accounts, so there is no account to delete on our side. We never collect your name, email, phone number, password, or any login credentials.
